1. Mission Statement

ECLS offers a variety of Chinese Language, Literature, History, and Culture classes to both children and adults in Westborough and its surrounding towns.

ECLS is an education bridge that connects Chinese and non-Chinese families with the same goal of learning Chinese language.

ECLS is an education bridge that connects western culture and eastern culture with the same goal of enriching people’s lives.

ECLS is an education bridge that connects children, parents, teachers, and friends through the programs, events and activities that eBridge provide, and helps them learn, teach, play, and explore together.

2. eBridge Philosophies

eBridge’s teaching and learning philosophies will make a difference and bring us to success.

ECLS believes that language itself is a tool to convey ideas and information. It is important to combine the teaching of Chinese history and literature with Chinese language so that our students can gain a better understanding of the origins of Chinese tradition and culture. eBridge Chinese School will be the first Chinese school to introduce Chinese history and literature in our language class.

ECLS believes that it is very important to make the learning fun. The exciting and easy way to teach Chinese history, literature, and language is by introducing stories. Our Chinese language classes will be divided into two parts, language and literature. Our younger children will learn traditional stories, fairy tales, and poems, while our older children will explore classic Chinese literature.

ECLS believes quality is the key to our success. Our goal is to provide a pleasant environment, hire qualified teachers, use carefully selected and high quality teaching materials, and offer flexible schedules and quality programs to our community.

ECLS believes it is our responsibility to introduce the richness of Chinese tradition and culture to our community. We strive to provide a variety of tradition and culture classes: Chinese Traditional Dance, Art, Chinese Martial Arts, Chinese Calligraphy, etc.

ECLS believes talking, reading and listening is basic and is very important in learning Chinese language. We adopt the Chinese Pinyin, the official Romanization system of main land China, and the simplified Chinese characters writing system.

ECLS desires to set up a community center for Chinese and non-Chinese families. It provides a healthy and loving environment for parents and children to learn, to teach, to share, to explore, and to have fun. In order to build a strong community, we encourage everybody to participate in many different ways, such as supporting our programs, providing suggestions, attending events and activities, etc.
